Over the summer, I ordered a Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Film Camera starter pack to try and step up my photography game. Ever since I bought it, I am constantly looking for places and instances worthy of the super cute pic. Polaroid pictures are classic, they’re so fun and this camera is so easy to use every picture turns out great.
These are only a few of the pictures I’ve taken, but I love adding to my collection.
This was the first ever photograph I took with my new camera. I was so excited when my package arrived, I ripped open the box, loaded the film and snapped a picture of my view from my old apartment. It was the beginning of an era of polaroid pictures.
Recently before a girls night out, my friend Jenna and I snapped a quick picture together on our way out the door to celebrate our 20th birthdays together. Now, what happened on girls night, stays with girls night. #DressedUpToGetMessedUp
A few weeks before my actual 20th birthday, my mom treated me to a night out at the Sugar Factory on International Drive. After dinner we took a peak into the world-class candy shop and I had to channel my inner socialite. I bought the Kendall and Kylie blingpop JUST for my birthday selfie. yolo.
When I went home last weekend, the first night I was still hiding out from my sister. I met some old friends for dinner and if you don’t take a picture, it never really happened. Love ya Marcus.
As I’ve posted about before, my sister was on the homecoming court at my old high school and I flew home to surprise her. After a miserable first half sitting in the football stands in the cold and the rain, we ditched that popsicle stand to head to one of my favorites for some hometown comfort foods. Houlihan’s baked potato soup and parmesan frites will give you life.
So I decided to act like a real Floridian last weekend, and I went to the annual University of Florida vs. University of Georgia football game. It’s such a big game it takes place at the Jacksonville Jaguar stadium and it’s known as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
Christmas is the only time of year I look forward to going home. Michigan is one of those amazing places that is transformed for 6 months and it’s great around the holidays because it feels as though you’re living in a magical winter wonderland. Christmas is by far my favorite holiday, my favorite day, of the entire year. Christmas is one of those days where everything seems perfect and nothing can ruin the fun. This was my first Christmas without my grandmother, and it was hard. This year my family took my grandfather out for Christmas dinner and we all laughed and reminisced over the memories we shared with her in the past.
Meet Marcus Moore, one of my absolute best friends in the world. We have been friends ever since the day he transferred into my 4th grade class and we bonded over our love of basketball. Since we graduated high school, it’s been difficult to get together and catch up because between me living in Florida, and him being a college basketball player, our schedules rarely overlap. But while I was home, my sister had a basketball game in Detroit where his university is located and he was able to come and watch her play with me. Its the friends we meet along the way that help us appreciate the journey.
